Particles of God

Blok by Carina collaborated with the Flemish choreographer Isabelle Beernaert on her project ‘Particles of God,’ which premiered on January 28, 2023, at the Concertgebouw in Bruges, Belgium.

The mesmerizing performance prompts the audience to explore their inner selves and connect on a deeper and mystical level by asking powerful existential questions. We are all small parts of a greater whole but also made up of particles that form that whole. How are all these particles connected? Is there a higher entity? It is left up to the viewer to find the answers.

This experience is made possible through a unique sequence of movements, sounds, and alternating light and darkness, creating a multi-sensory cocoon in which spectators are immersed. The chandelier ‘Luciana,’ designed by Blok by Carina, plays a pivotal role in creating this mystic atmosphere and contributes to an emotional and meaningful experience. Its elongated prisms in mouth-blown glass from Ajeto and HPL M5309 Alu-Relief Plex Goldton from Homapal enrich the one-of-a-kind piece, thus, making it the perfect scenic object to brighten this magical stage.
